1. How can I contact the research team?

If you need to contact the research team, please e-mail us at prohope@yorku.ca

2. What should I do if I have not received any e-mail from Project HOPE?

You should be receiving an email notification with your ticket number to register for the project, along with reminder emails for different phases of the study. If you have not received any e-mail, it is possible that our message was sent to your junk mailbox. Please check for messages from prohope@yorku.ca. Otherwise please contact the webmaster at webhope@yorku.ca.

3. Will all my information remain anonymous and confidential?

Yes, all information you provide will remain anonymous and confidential. We will not sell or share any contact information. Identifying information is collected exclusively for prize draws and will be stored separately from your responses.

4. What should I do if I don't feel comfortable with a question?

You can refrain from answering any questions you are not comfortable with. The computer will provide you with prompts for missing answers simply to check that you did not want to answer a particular question. We will need some contact information, however, in order to enter you in our draws.

5. What should I do if I miss a day of doing my exercises?

If you miss a day of completing your exercises please continue as scheduled the next day.

6. Will I have to continue doing the exercises until all the follow-ups are done?

You are not required to continue doing the exercises after the one week study period. You may wish to do so if you have found them helpful as the benefits they incur may increase over time. You may decide to do the exercises less frequently or make other changes to them that make them easier to incorporate into your life.
Please complete the follow-up assessment whether or not you have done the exercises.

7. When will the draws take place? How will I know if I have won?

The exact date of the draw depends on when we reach our target number of participants needed for the study. We will contact you via e-mail if you have won.

8. Will I find out the results of the study after it is completed?

We would be pleased to share the results of this project. Please e-mail us at prohope@yorku.ca if you would like information about our findings. Note that the research process is quite long and results of a study typically get published two years after the data collection is complete. Related publications, however, could be made available to you. Simply write to us if you are interested!

9. What will happen if I decide that I do not want to participate anymore?

You have the right to withdraw from this study at any time. You will not be entered in any draws unless you complete the measures at the end of the one week period.

10. What should I do if my e-mail address changes?

If your e-mail address (or any other contact information) changes, please update your information by clicking on the 'Change my profile' link. This link is found at the bottom of each page of the project website.

11. What should I do if I see an "error page"?

This could be due to a connection problem or simply because of too much traffic on the website. If this happens, you will receive an error message providing you with information about the problem. We suggest returning to the previous webpage by clicking the "back" button and re-submitting the information you were trying to send. If this does not work, contact the webmaster at webhope@yorku.ca

12. I have a question about how to complete my exercise.

Please contact the research team at prohope@yorku.ca.

13. Do I have to complete all the initial assessment questionnaires on the same day?

No. You can stop at any time and return whenever you like. When you return to the website you will be taken automatically back to the questionnaires you have not completed. You may wish to complete a questionnaire once you have started, since all items are saved only once the questionnaire is completed and submitted. (That is, if you log out halfway through a questionnaire any work done on the questionnaire will be lost.) Also, it is best to complete all the questionnaires within a day or two.

Any other questions? Please contact us at prohope@yorku.ca
